LIghtsticks are the best form of night light especially for children. They are non-toxic and have no heat like fire. Lightsticks come in different colors, though some last longer than other lightsticks. Lightsticks are waterproof and fun! They are a very dependable form of light from anywhere from 6 hours to 12 hours,  and have been known to still be glowing at 24 hours, depending on which ones you buy. Lightsticks have a shelf life of up to 4 years if kept in the original package and in the freezer. When it becomes hotter the lightsticks become brighter! 

Lightsticks have been around since 1665, mostly to fly kites at night. Lightsticks became very popular in the 60's and have been so since.  With non-toxic chemicals inside all you have to do is snap them and shake and presto! instant safe light. Lightsticks are natural,odorless, durable, hypo-allergenic  and contain no fragrances. And if you are intrested to know, if you break one and splatter it, yes your room will glow, however the contents are sticky and tacky . But yet, still safer and lighter than flash lights and fire.
