HOW NYLON MESH BAGS CAME TO BE

A nylon mesh bag is a breathable bag that is also easy to see through. It will not rot or grow mildew, or retain odors.  A nylon mesh bag has a drawstring closure and It perfect for camping for dirty laundry, towels, wet gear, toys, food or almost anything you can think to using a nylon mesh bag for.

These are made in the USA. The nylon mesh bags are16"X24". They are washable. Nylon mesh bags are very durable. And can carry alot of weight.

Some smaller mesh bags are used to wash ladies pantyhoses and undergarments to keep them protected from a rough washing. In the 1940's socks were made for men with nylon due to it's stablility and durabitity.

In 1876 a company came up with an idea of a "bead-like" metal mesh bag: then again another company came up with the same idea using silver in 1892 and thus the first mesh bag. Packing companies began using mesh bags because they were open to the air. But with all that metal, rust bacame a problem.

In 1921, a jeweler made a mesh bag out of gold and was robbed the very next day. Two years later another jeweler tried it, and she too was robbed, but this time took longer. In 1927 mesh bags were being used all over the place but the were made with baby chain links, good for airation, but they still rusted. It was not until 1944 when nylon was being used in mens socks that someone decided to make a nylon mesh bag! They did not rot! People used nylon mesh bags for groceries, fruit, vegetables, clothes. They even washed clothes in them.

Since the 1970's, nylon mesh bags were used for camping and hunters. Hunters put there food and supplies in them and hung them high up in trees so animals could not get to them. So, now as a camper or an outdoorsperson you can see the importance of a non-rotting, non-odor retaining, and mildew resisting nylon mesh bag.
